20100227 So little snow :(

Even though the new windows are in (only one to go and all to paint)

We only got a smidgen of snow..

But it was real purty

20100216 The casements are going in

(having issues moving images where I want them on the post so these are reverse ordered)

During:

Before:

20100213 Makin' Cookies

For Valentine's Day I made big and little sandwich cookies.

They are so cute.

...and bite sized...

20100202 New doors roughed in

To the back:

To the front

And the double cracking leaky windy doors have been finally replaced!

20091220 More Putting up the tree.

Yeah, so, they like the lighting of the candles thing...

Apparently, the antlers are considered "cute" this year. Had I known the kids expected something beefier, I would have lopped off a pine tree.

20091220 More putting up the tree...

20091220 Putting up the Christmas tree

Today was the first day our schedules allowed us to all be in the same place at the same time to get a tree and decorate it.

20091208 Monica Winter Concert

200091205 The first snow

...but not of Brooklyn (obscure Tull reference)

20091129 Thanksgiving @ Fergusons

With Dan's Mom and Aunt Nancy
(William's helping me take the pic with the remote)

20091124 SHE"S HOME!

I got my little girl back today,

apparently, it was a long flight--

And she's a college student, so even though it's near midnight, there is the first thing one must do upon arriving home...

20091122 Moon and Jupiter

They will be closer tomorrow, but I won't be able to photograph them due to scheduling issues

The moon and Jupiter (upper left, tiny dot, doesn't show on the small thumbnail)

The moon, just using my telephoto lens:

Jupiter, just the telephoto, not stable enough to get bands, but you can see three moons, one left/upper, two right/lower

20091122 Dogwood berries

My new little tree must be doing ok because it put out some berries

20091114 Playing with my scanner

Autumn leaves.

20091113 Monica's Pep band

On a drizzly Friday night, what better way to whoop it up than to play a clarinet?
(look way left, UNC Blue baseball hat)

Sometimes they watch the game...

Sometimes the band leader passes out candy...

Sometimes the band leader must comment on the play...
